Gremmer & Associates, Inc. is a consulting engineering firm that has provided innovative and cost-effective solutions for over 30 years. Our long history of designing facilities for municipal, state, and private-sector clients in Wisconsin allows us to provide integrated services that deliver the best solutions to meet our clients’ needs.

Gremmer & Associates has offices located in Fond du Lac and Stevens Point, Wisconsin that are structured to provide a full range of project delivery services statewide. We use our broad range of resources to provide services in transportation and municipal design, site design, stormwater management, land surveying and plats, construction management, and GIS web development. Our offices are equipped with the latest technology to ensure that we deliver the highest quality solutions, including Civil 3D design software, AutoCAD and Microstation drafting software, and Trimble R8 Rover GPS capabilities.

Our History

Established in 1977 by Tim Gremmer, Gremmer & Associates is a consulting engineering firm that initially provided land surveying, recreational, and site development services. As the firm grew, we expanded into the design and construction inspection of urban and rural roadways, bridges, sanitary sewer and water main, and stormwater management.

In 1995, we added a Fond du Lac Office to expand our services to clients in southeast Wisconsin. A multi-party ownership consisting of several Gremmer & Associates engineers was created in 2001, which ensured continued success from the vested interest of the partners. The owners of Gremmer & Associates are heavily involved in the design and management of every project, which results in a commitment to delivering the highest standard of client satisfaction in every aspect of our working relationships.

Today, Gremmer has grown to over 40 qualified employees, including 10 Professional Engineers and 3 Registered Land Surveyors. We have developed a strong reputation for providing quality engineering services, along with personal and responsive service, to a varied cross section of clients statewide, including the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, counties, municipalities, and private developers. Gremmer strives to exceed client expectations and our multi-office network brings a broad range of capabilities to every project we undertake.

Our Philosophy

We feel that the primary responsibility of the consultant is to act as a partner with the client on design issues, schedules, and budgets to determine which alternative is in the best interest of the client, yet satisfies the long-term needs of the project.

The services of Gremmer are extremely client driven. Our company philosophy is based on two core principles – provide a quality product and provide excellent service to the client.  These principles are achieved by doing the following:

Concentrate on a few engineering disciplines.

We are not a large firm and do not try to do all things. We have high technical expertise in specialized areas while understanding the relationships between different engineering specialties. At Gremmer, we concentrate on transportation and municipal engineering, surveying, site development design, and stormwater management. We consider ourselves leaders in these areas.

Be accessible and easy to work with.

Timely and open discussions allow client input and keep the project on schedule. As a smaller firm, we do not have to work through a confusing bureaucracy.
